Flyers and Brochures - Handy marketing tools to make a big impression.

Brochures: Showcase your business

Whether it is an exceptional elevator pitch, a high-impact highlight reel, or a striking snapshot, your brochure is all these things for your business. Capturing the most important information about your company and presenting it in a compelling way to your customers. At Digital Press, we know how priceless these marketing tools can be for your business. That is why we offer a wide range of options to help you build the best brochures possible. Impactful brochures start with a well-organized design.

Brochures are timeless promotional tools. A captivating brochure design can inform and convince someone to finally make that decision to trust your company.

Putting together a professional brochure involves much dedication and several steps within the process. Even though brochure printing is the last in line for the entire process, you need to know beforehand what decisions will be involved as they affect the design. Before you begin the layout, think about what size will best fit your needs, and how you want the finished product to look. How do you want it folded? What type of stock? Do you want it to be shiny or matte finished? What does the brochure you envision your clients reading look like? We can help you make that vision into reality.

Create a brochure that tells your product's story.

Popular Uses & Ideas

  • General Tri-Fold Brochures

  • Displays at Information Booths in Schools / Universities

Size

Decide which size you want your brochure to be. If you change your mind, be sure to make the changes yourself rather than asking a printer to resize it for you. Designing on the wrong size causes the end result to be stretched or important information to be cut off.

Standard brochures are 8.5” x 11” but other sizes include 5.5”x8.5”, 11" x 17" up to 8.5”x22” and several sizes in between. Don’t see what you are looking for? Email us for a custom quote.

Folding Options for Brochures

  • The half-fold brochure is folded in half, creating a total of four panels, with two on each side of the paper.

  • The trifold brochure can break down information into different sections. This is the most common fold on an 8.5”x11” brochure. It gives you 6 panels for information or photographs and can even be used for mailing.

  • The z-fold brochure can unveil an engaging layout or several design elements.

  • The gate fold has two front panels that open-up to reveal a large inside panel.

  • The double parallel fold has four vertical panels you can use to expound on several product lines. This fold is typically used with sheets larger than 8.5”x11”

  • The accordion fold expands to reveal the entire side of the brochure, enabling customers to view all four panels at once.

  • The roll fold is popularly used by retail stores, hospitals, and hotels.

  • The double gate fold is similar to the gate fold but with more room for visuals.

  • The French fold provides four equal panels that unfold into a large image

Template

Using a template will ensure that you design on the correct size and include the correct bleed specifications.

Artwork

Your graphics need to be the correct resolution to avoid a fuzzy appearance. Use a PDF with a file resolution of at least 300 dpi for the best results. When saving your brochure to a different file format, double-check your file resolution to make sure that it remains the same, and your bleed is intact.

Colors

The colors that you use can vary greatly from their appearance on your computer screen to the printed page. Calibrating your design program with your monitor using software available online will help this problem. Please remember, your flyers and brochures will print CMYK, but your monitor output is RGB. The CMYK four-color process limits the color capabilities. Though the color spectrum available is vast, it does have limits. Our pre-press department will help with any questions you may have.

Flyers: Help your company, or organization get the word out

Put your organization’s best foot forward with flyers that make a statement. Whether you are advertising your business, promoting sales, or simply spreading the word about your event, our flyer printing services ensure that your creation is always polished, professional, and on point.

Handout flyers to create lasting impressions with potential and loyal customers.

  • Full colors shine in a gloss finish & are elegant under matte

  • Substantial paper stock and heavyweight cardstock options

  • Customize your design with a coupon or promo offer

Why Flyers?

Flyers give you a way to communicate with a crowd. As such, your flyer should be quickly and easily understood. It should take no more than a couple of seconds for people to see what you are trying to communicate with the flyer. Are you offering a coupon? Are you inviting them to a grand opening party? Is it a fundraising event? Whatever your message, it should be simple and easy to spot on the flyer. Flyers are typically not folded. The option is available, but the more steps you ask of your recipient, the less likely they are to pay attention to your message. A single, unfolded sheet with concise communication, is ideal for a flyer.

Gain a Wider Market With Business and Custom Flyers

It is vastly important to constantly call attention to your brand, whether you're a newcomer or a household name. Business flyers let you reach that intended target audience. High-quality flyers shift a customer's focus to your new product or service with a central image and informative text. Hand out as real estate flyers or give away a promotional announcement at your storefront or at a convention to attract the right attention. Posting flyers around town advertising a big event is a simple and cost-effective way to get the word out.

Frequently Asked Questions - Flyers & Brochures

Q: Which size should I choose for my flyers? A: The standard 8.5” x 11” is a popular choice as the space is large enough for an image heavy design. The 5.5”x8.5” is the standard for smaller sized flyers given their handy and easy to store size. Customers can refer to the flyer when they get home or bring it over to your store.

Q: What should I keep in mind while designing the flyer? A: Color choice determines the effectiveness of your business flyer. A bright or bold color attracts a reader to pick up the flyer, while a dull one will go unnoticed. If you want to entice customers with a fun approach, stick to orange and yellow shades. Companies that require a more professional tone can opt for cool shades such as blue, gray, and green. Black and white is the least expensive, but not always the most attractive option.

Q: Does the printing turnaround include the number of days to deliver my order? A: The printing turnaround indicates how long it takes to produce your business or custom flyers. Our typical turn time is 3-5 business days. Our free file check option lets you check the design before we proceed to printing.

Q: How should I organize my brochure? A: Use the panel number to guide you through designing and organizing the information on your brochure. The first panel serves as your cover and should include your company name and logo. The second to third or fourth inner panels will discuss your business using visuals and engaging copy. Place all your contact information on the outermost back panel. Q: What are the most popular folding options and their best uses? A: Trifold brochures can break down important information in three different sections. The French fold gives you four equal panels that unfold into a larger space that can fit a map or several schedules for a convention or week-long event. The accordion fold unravels like the instrument, enabling customers to read all four panels as a whole. Q: Do the brochures come folded upon delivery? A: All paper stock and 10 pt. cardstock brochures come scored and folded. Scored means that the brochure comes with a crease that indicates where the fold should be. The thicker 14 pt. and 16 pt. cardstock come scored but not folded, so you’ll have to fold them based on the creases found in the flat, unfolded brochure.

Good to Know

Folding: Print your brochures on lightweight paper stock or thick cardstock. All paper stock and 10 pt. cardstock brochures are folded before delivery.

Proof

The last step of brochure printing has to do with what type of proof you desire. A proof gives you the opportunity to check for typos and correct alignment of text and images. You can have a PDF proof sent to you for review before we proceed with printing. If ordering online, our pre-flight tool will generate an proof for your immediate viewing and approval.
